About CloudGirl

Hi, this is me: Marieke. A 31-year-old woman, who’s living near Rotterdam in The Netherlands. In my free time, I love traveling, photography, reading and gardening. I am the proud owner of two gerbils, named Thor and Loki (see a theme there?! ;-)).

I have studied in the field of Social Work, but I quickly found out that’s not my passion. After graduating, I decided to find out what does spark my enthusiasm. A traineeship in IT was one of the options that crossed my path, and being interested in computers since a young age, I decided to grab the opportunity with both hands.

During the traineeship, I learned that IT is the field I’d see myself working in. It never stops developing and new learning paths continuously arise. With my eyes on the future, I decided to specialize in working in the Cloud, with Azure as a main focus point. Since September 2023, I’ve been working as a cloud engineer at Quality.

Gaining new knowledge has become one of my favorite parts of the job, but I decided it is time to give back. With this website, I want to share the knowledge I have found and be a platform to help you become more skilled in IT and the Cloud in particular.
